Joe
Helm started photographing youth sporting events back in 1991, and in
the past few years has earned the reputation as one of
country's
premiere children and sports photographers. His work
in cheer and dance however, has made him one of the most requested action photographers in the world. Referrals come from International Competition Companies such as American Cheerpower, COA, Cheersport, UCA, UDA, Starpower and Nexstar. He also uses his portrait skills in the gym and dance studios throughout the state of Florida and soon reaching into the southern states to prove that pet photographers have no business trying to photograph cheerleaders and dancers. The same tenacity and precision that goes into capturing 100+ images in a 2 and a half minute cheer competition goes into photographing an entire gym or dance studio. Whether it be a custom backdrop that is painted just for your gym or studio or greenscreen technology, we strive to present your kids, your parents, and your organization with the best portraits available.
He only photographs sporting events that he knows and has a passion for. Martial arts studios welcome the knowledge of a photographer that uses his weapons training and Tae Kwon Do to capture kicks, punches and jumps at the precise moment. Little Leagues enjoy the experience he obtained through Sports Florida Photography as his first photography job back in 1991. The custom graphic design work for every team is a tribute to the 10 years of art school and training in multimedia graphic design and photography. Skateparks also trust a photographer not to endanger their participants when they hire a photographer that has rode BMX Freestyle since the mid 1980's and is well published for their current magazines.
Joe
is a member of Canon Professional Services which is exclusive to established published photographers held with the highest of standards. A member of Universal Event Photography's national cheer and dance action photography team, a position held only by the best photographers in the country, the cheer and dance gyms get to experience working with the same photographer they see on the competition floor at Nationals. He is also the conscientious force
behind all your production needs, such as color correction, lab orders, retouching,
hand-tinting, and artistic enhancement.
"My
goal is to give you a portrait that is not just a picture,
but a work of art that tells us who your child is in this
stage of his or her life."
